Kristin Fisher has joined CNN on July 20, 2021, as Space and Defense Correspondent. She covers everything, from NASA, Space Force, Space Force and commercial space companies, to the emergence of space tourism. Kristin is the daughter two NASA astronauts. Kristin has grown up with the space industry as well as covered Trump and Biden Administration space policies for FOX News as White House Correspondent. The reporter also reported on the presidential election in 2020 and efforts by two administrations to combat the coronavirus. Additionally, she was on numerous trips with President and Vice President, including a top secret trip to Afghanistan with former President Donald Trump. Prior to joining the network in 2015, Kristin spent nearly a 10 years working her way up in local TV news stations which included Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she received the Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. With her experience on the set, Kristin established Field Mouse Films in 2014, which was a specialist in documentary style films for clients of corporate nature, including Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned her Bachelor of Science Diploma in Journalism from Boston University. She and her husband reside in Washington, D.C., and is the mother of a 3-year-old daughter.
